Nancy Talley Owner

Nancy Talley Owner

500 Hour E-RYT

Nancy began her yogic journey in 1997 while working in the Los Angeles fashion industry. To relieve stress and insomnia she explored Kundalini and Restorative classes but soon found Vinyasa to be her calling. She attended the White Lotus Foundation to study under Ganga White and Tracey Rich for her 200 hour RYT in Santa Barbara, CA. Nancy received her 500 hour RYT through Beloved Yoga in Reston, VA in 2012. Nancy has also studied Yin Yoga and has completed the Self-Awakening Yoga Therapeutics Teacher Training under Don and Amba Stapleton.

Nancy reminds her students to work with compassion towards themselves and to stop and enjoy the journey rather than focus on the final pose they are trying to achieve. She purchased Soaring Spirit Yoga Studio in 2010 and hopes to continue to serve the growing yoga community in Prince William County and surrounding areas.

Candi Hoffman

Candi Hoffman

200 Hour E-RYT

Candi’s yoga journey began as a way to stay active with friends and then as a way to alleviate stress while completing her undergraduate degree.  As she began to add other activities to her life, she appreciated the way that yoga was not only the perfect way to maintain her flexibility but to help bring herself back to center.  Candi received her 200hr RYT in 2014 from Soaring Spirit Yoga Studio’s School and a certified kids yoga teacher through YoKids Stretch Your Limits.  She is certified in Y4C (Yoga 4 Cancer), Curvy Yoga, and Five Element Yoga; as well as additional training in both aerial and chair yoga.  Candi believes that yoga is for everybody and that with mindfulness and a little laughter, her students can take the lessons learned in class and shine their light off the mat and into the world around them.

Kathy Brobst

Kathy Brobst

200 Hour E-RYT

Kathy has been working in the fitness industry for 14 years, beginning her career as a certified group exercise and pilates instructor. She began her yogic journey when she began teaching BodyFlow, a combination of yoga, tai chi and pilates. Kathy was diagnosed with advanced degenerative disc disease and a herniated disc and doctors offered her only pain pills and cortisone shots. Kathy increased her yoga practice and today is pain free thanks to the healing power of yoga not only physically but mentally and spiritually. Kathy completed her 200 hour RYT yoga teacher training through YogaFit. Kathy’s goal is to share her joy of yoga with others and offer them hope in any difficult situation. Her passion for yoga helps her see that together as a community, we can make the world just a little kinder, one class at a time.

Mandy Plummer

Mandy Plummer

200 Hour RYT

Mandy first began practicing yoga for physical fitness but soon began to notice that yoga relieved her of stress, calmed her nerves, and left her feeling as light as a cloud. She decided to deepen her practice and enrolled in the teacher training program at Soaring Spirit Yoga Studio in Occoquan, VA. There she learned to connect the mind, body, and spirit to find a heightened sense of well-being. As a teacher she likes to remind people to listen to their bodies when practicing, make poses fit their own individual body types, and most of all not take things too seriously. Yoga is an infinite journey to be shared by all!

Juliana Corona

Juliana Corona

200 Hour RYT

Juliana came to yoga after reading a book about how yoga helps to navigate emotional struggles. She soon learned that combined with mindfulness meditation, yoga has helped her turn her awareness inward to create an internal place of quiet and calm, thus cultivating emotional intelligence. In 2019 she received her 200 Hour RYT from Soaring Spirit Yoga Studio where she studied with Nancy Talley and Kelley Gallop. She hopes that this certification will be part of the foundation she’ll build on to create a world full of emotionally fluent people, one mindful yoga practice at a time.

Karen Richey

Karen Richey

200 Hour RYT

Karen was first drawn to yoga as a form of physical exercise and a way to relieve chronic neck and back pain she attributed to years of practice as a dental hygienist. She soon discovered that in addition to relieving her discomfort and increasing her strength, flexibility and balance, it offered clarity of mind and lightness of heart. Yoga became a mindful practice as well as a physical one. Eager to embrace all that yoga had to offer, she enrolled in the Teacher Training program at Soaring Spirit Yoga Studio. She is so grateful to have embarked on this yoga journey and for all the support her yoga community has offered her.

Lynda Lee

Lynda Lee

200 Hour RYT

Lynda has been a resident of Lake Ridge her entire life and owns a business in the beautiful historic town of Occoquan. She expanded her yogic journey at Soaring Spirit Yoga Studio where she received her 200 Hour RYT. She has been practicing yoga for 15 years and hopes to share yoga in such a way that everyone can experience what a gift it can be. Suffering from chronic pain personally, her focus is to create classes that will help others to find the relief from pain and stress that yoga has provided for her. She has also studied at Yogaville in VA and the Sivananda Ashram in NY. She hopes to work with those coping with PTSD and their families and those in recovery from addiction as well as teaching fun ‘out of the box’ classes.
